The Fairfax Scoop Mural is Complete!

Today I put the finishing touches on the Fairfax Scoop Ice Cream Tree mural. Each cone depicts a different flavor with symbols of the flavor in the ice cream. Can you guess what the flavors are? If you live in the Bay Area and want to taste some seriously yummy ice cream, Fairfax Scoop is the place! :-)

I ate the still life!

Here are the new "Late Harvest" designs~ But first a little tale of how these almost did not come to be~~~ 


A week and-a-half ago I bought 5 brilliantly orange persimmons to draw from for my new card designs. One by one I ate them ALL (5!) ((sometimes 2 in one day)) before I had a chance to sit myself down and draw them. By the time it was my designated art-making day (Sunday) I had no persimmons~ So I drove out to beautiful Pt. Reyes Station and bought 3 more (and managed to draw them before they disappeared! :-)

6 New Designs for Summer

Here are 6 new card designs for summer~ For this collection I experimented with some new textures & making my own paper by scanning different objects, including a flat basket from my favorite store, Summerhouse. The russet fabric used for the red-tailed hawk is book-binding fabric from my aunt Georgia. (Thanks!) 

Two new cupcakes designs are fresh out of the oven and perfect to celebrate a dear one's birthday! Flavors include lemongrass and red velvet, inspired by my favorite blog, Cakies.
