Each card is hand-painted with metallic gold ink and mounted on 100% recycled card stock. Cards measure 5"x5". Square envelopes require extra postage. Cards are blank inside.

Each card is an original hand-painted design that I create using hand-cut paper. I apply metallic gold ink and white gouache, then scan and print the design. I then re-apply metallic gold ink individually to each card for extra luster.

How It's Done~

I'm busy putting the finishing touches on the Dream Speak Design Spring 2010 card collection~ Here's a behind-the-scenes peek at how I create each handmade card using cut paper, metallic ink, and white gouache.


First things first~ A pot of jasmine green tea to get the creative juices flowing~

 Set the incense burning~

Some fresh flowers~

Music: Agricantus, Baaba Maal, Marie Antoinette Soudtrack~

And I'm ready to go!

Step 1: Choose color palette

Step 2: Create templates

Step 3: Trace templates onto colored paper

Step 4: Apply paint 

Step 5: Cut paper and paste together

Done!

This Thursday I will be releasing the full collection of twelve cards and will have my online shop up and running~ Be sure to check back!

Welcome to my new website!

Greetings! 
Thanks for coming to visit my new website/blog. I'm busy producing my Spring 2010 collection of handmade cards, which will include Easter, Mother's Day, birthday, and spring-themed greeting cards. Over the next week I will be posting photos of the design and production process, and on Thursday, March 18th I will have the finished products to show you.
